whelp, i honestly don't know the exact count but my guess is about 300 shots since i first got this thing back in sept 2011. i cannot get shot 301 Crying or Very sad

the rifle does hold air & pressurises to 3000psi, i cock it to full power & fire. i can feel a slight blast of air on my face but the roundball just sits in the breech. managed to back out the roundball by tapping a rod in from the muzzle. i shot out all the remaining air (is there another way to degass?).

appreciate any assistance, what to do next?

I'm certainly no expert on these, and never had one apart, but my checklist...or flowchart...on a PCP of any kind would be like--

Barrel not plugged, even partly, right? Bullet or ball not oversized?

Is the O-ring on the breach cover OK?
If yes:
Does the cocking handle feel normal force whan you cock it and shoot it?
No, soft and or crunchy feeling: Broken hammer spring? Hammer hanging up?
Yes, normal:
Then, does the air blast feel/sound weak?
Yes, barely any air when I shoot it empty: Gauge really reading pressure?
Try pumping it up again.
No, feels like its got air because the handpump is hard to push or the scuba gauge shows high and no air sound going into the gun.:

Then, Is there a filter in the valve inlet that is plugged up?

Or has the valve stem that the hammer hits broken or been pushed through the moving part of the valve so that hardly any sticks out for the hammer to strike?
Replace valve stem. (Pyramd Air has them, last I knew.)

thank you for your responses.

all is well, rifle works fine now. the next day I dry fired the remaining air (by the way, manual says that's how to degas) & it seemed to function normally. I filled it to 3k psi & shot a round ball into a stack of 50 old magazines/catalogs with an iron skillet behind from 5yds. Went throught about 15 of them. Seems like all is well & I'm happy about that but now it stinks that I can only use her when its 50f+ degrees out.

I'd take the hammer out and polish everything (degas first for safety) and relube it with graphite or something. Just a guess.

It could be lube drag on the hammer causing the hammer to travel slower
and move the exhaust valve less, little or none.

You might be able to be wear or shoot it out. Or take it apart, clean the
factory lube out and try a less viscous, thinner lubricant.

Thanks you for your responses. WP from SMG suggested it was the grease used in the mechanism. I'm still trying to build up the courage to tackle this thing & take it apart. I'm trying to arm myself with the knowledge that I can find searching the 'net. I found something similar;

I've only taken one rifle apart & that was a crosman springer, another was a hatsan pistol. I'm hoping its really that simple.

Somewhere i saw a teardown procedure but i can't find it now. I'll keep looking.
Edit here is something on a 909 which is probably similar.
