Ok, I have a Co2 cartridge stuck in the tube and it will not drop out. It's a new gun and have only shot about 4 cartridges though it. All of them dropped out fine - except this one.
I only hand tightened the cap and never used a tool to screw it down.
I have tried tapping on the tube to loosen it - and I also inverted the rifle barrel down and LIGHTLY tapped the muzzle straight down on the floor (protecting the barrel end).
Nothing. Zip. Nada. Still stuck in there.
Any suggestions?
And yes, I feel like an idiot. |

May be that either the Co2 caplet top is soft and wrapped around the piercing pin, or the piercing pin is not pointed/smooth but has a squared section or a burr.
If you have a small suction cup- i.e. like from a kid's toy gun, try grabbing the caplet with it and rotating to loosen it. |

| I don't know about this but it will work. Drill a small hole on the end of the caplet and put a screw in it, then pull the screw with your hands or pliers. |

| Goto the hardware store and get you one of those telescoping magnets for $2-3, they work great and are hand for other jobs too |

| (Assuming all the pressure is bled off) try dry-firing it with the end cap removed. |

Update: Sorry it took so long - the only solution was to dismantle the rifle. The caplet was stuck to the valve and it all came out as one piece. After pulling the caplet out, I checked the needle and found it wasn't bent or damaged. The caplet just fit into the valve very tightly.
After reassembling the gun and trying a new caplet, everything worked fine.
My head hurts.
I appreciate all the suggestions - but the only really effective remedy was to dismantle the gun. |
