Harbor Freight screwed up and I did not get my replacement lathe today.... What I did get was a box of goodies from Mathew Bean, he
supplies HPA upgrade stuff to the airgun folks.

I also bought one of those "colored" 850 stocks that UMAREX was offering last week.... but got mine in Grey :-P
Anyhow, I picked one of my 177 850's and converted it to HPA.
Thats a 22ci 3000psi tank with 1200psi regulator on it. Should be good for 120 shots at around 900fps.
Now all I need is some air Mr. Green

Lookin' good. What parts are in the 850 now- and approximate cost?

$90 for the tank and regulator is alot better than I was expecting- Umarex wanted something like $200 for a replacement tank for the Dominator 1250- which was smaller and I don't believe a regulator was part of it.

So- how do people find Matthew Bean if they want to go with a conversion like this?

And definitely let us know how it shoots after the conversion and a realistic number of shots with that reservoir on the gun! Curiosity is killing me.

Looks really nice Roald, The tank doesn't look too much out of proportion either, fits in well with the rest of the 850's features! Just need to clean the edges of the hole that the gauge comes though and jobs a good un!

Stevie Thumb Up!

Thanks guys... Stevie, I was so excited that everything lined up I took the pic before it was finished Mr. Green
I had to get my 24mm socket back before I could finish the hole....
It's all smooth and clean now. I'm ordering a 3300psi scuba tank tonight.
I can't afford those 4500psi tanks and also have no place locally to fill one....
