I'm surprised nobody has yet mentioned the Beeman p17/ Xisco XS20D. Single stroke pneumatic, accurate and under $50.00. Mr. Green They are also highly moddable. Twisted Evil

I bought two of the P-17's. The first shot was great , but by 100 shots, both were basically non-functional. Apparently there are some procedures you can do on them to make them work properly, but I just returned both of them.

How long ago was that? The P17's quality went up a couple years ago and the prior and somewhat common seal ripping issue was eliminated. It sounds like you got two units from awhile back (i.e. sitting on someone's shelf for years before you got them).

I like mine. Yes, I did have the seal ripping issue. And the valve stem nut coming loose. And the two pins at the rear working out of the gun (mine is a Marksman 2004, same gun but older name). Even so, the fixes were simple, and I still think it's a good deal for the money. Maybe a little underpowered, but very accurate and easy to shoot. A nice gun inside of 25 yards.

Yes, it was probably just over 2 years ago.
Picked up a couple 2300's... much happier.
