I would like to find an air rifle with the new gas piston technology that sports a GOOD trigger with decent, predictable let off and a pull of around 3lbs.
Would like it in .117 and able to shoot lead pellets at 1000fps (for large birds and rodents). The kicker is I'd like to be able to do this with less than $400.
Would also like iron sights. Less than $300 would be nicer yet!
After looking around the web for a couple of hours this seems like the undoable task.
Anyone got some ideas? I have an older Gamo hunter and it's a hunk of junk. Can't hit spit with it and the trigger is beyond horrible. Been warned that while several after market triggers will help, it would still not be very good.
Thanks in advance for any help.
