1) Target to download and print: Week 15; Dec/17>23/2007
Print to full-size on an A4 or 8.5"x11" sheet of paper.
2) Shooting distance is 5m/16.4ft for pistols.
3) Shooting distance is 10m/32.8ft for rifles.
4) Any sighting device may be used.
5) NO rests or steadying aids are allowed.
6) 20 shots at the target, 1 per sillhouette maximum, with 5 sighting/practice shots not on the clock using a different print-out of the target.
7) 15 minutes total time (take whatever amount of time for each shot you like, but at 15 minutes-stop!).
8) Scoring is 10 points for the black, and no points in the white. Touching the edge of a colour counts for points. Only one hit per sil counts. Maximum point count is 200.
9) Entries need to be scanned or photographed and posted. Posts must list gun, pellet, sighting device and total time expended.
10) You can enter using both a pistol and a rifle as separate entries- but all rules must be followed for each.
11) Score your own target. Winner and Runner-Up will be verified by board officials.
12) This is an honorable contest for sport- if you lie or cheat, you are the only one who really loses. Please keep it above-board!
13) Each competition runs from Monday to Sunday. Your entry must be posted in the forum no later than 23:00 GMT Sunday.
14) These rules are for this week's shooting competition and may change for others. |

This was a tough one, I think it all has to do with timing.
10m with the scoped Phantom and RWS wad cutters, standing.
Time: 13 mins
Scored 60/200

My after diner shoot with the pistol is much better.
Custom Crosman 2240 scoped
Crosman wad cutters
Standing 2-hand hold
Distance 5m/16.4 ft
Score; 140/200
Time: 7 mins.
The one turkey, hole is too sloppy to properly use my hole gauge, it's a 50/50 call.
Fun, fun, fun. I always look forward to shooting.
I just noticed I made it on the wall of fame. But where's Woody61? |

Here I am Nice shooting Mar, last week and this week as well.
Steyr LP1 pistol, Beeman Laser Sport pellets, 5 meters, one handed, iron sights, 10 minutes, 140/200. I have a marginal hit on the first chicken I would like to have taken.
I will try to shoot the rifle tomorrow, this is a fun target. But then, I have enjoyed every target so far.

If I can't beat you then at least I can tie you.
Nice shooting. My grips are on the way, hopefully that will help also. |

This is a good target, I've shot it before on another postal match (used every week there, actually).
Hope I have time to shoot at least one comp this week: the holidays aren't helping my schedule any...

Well Woody...guess we play alone this week so far. Nice shooting with the rifle, I just couldn't get steady enough, haven't found my happy stance yet.
Maybe I should just get back to snap shooting again. |

I feel like I'm steady as a rock, it's those pesky animals that won't hold still |

Almost like the real thing.
How do you hold your rifle? Elbow against the body or hand on the forearm with stock handle arm up as in hunting form? |

Hey everybody, Merry Christmas!
Well I shot this one pretty quick, and was doing good until I got to those chickens! Man, those just killed my score! I started to get rattled then. I was on track for about a 150, but freaked out and had to settle for a 130/200. Maybe next time! I'll try to submit a rifle target yet tomorrow. But I'm not too great at Air Rifle, in fact way worse then with a pistol, but I'll give it a go anyways! : )
Gun: IZZY 46m
Pellet: RWS Hobby
Stance: Standing one hand (right)
Time: 12 minutes
Distance: 5 meters
Score: 130/200
Date: 12/22/07
Thanks,
John
