Hello to all. I just joined today after buying a new Hornet today. I have had other airguns in the past and never really got into it, but after hearing about the break barrels I just had to have one. I had a Benjamin pump and as fun as it was pumping that thing all day got old fast. The single pump with the new one is just what the doctor ordered. I went through about 150 pellets today and am totally hooked!!! I have to say for an inexpensive gun the Hornet is very accurate. It took me about 20 rounds to get the scope sighted in where I liked it and after that I was shooting consistant 2" groups with the later rounds being even a little tighter. This was just from 10 yards, but nonetheless I was very impressed with it's accuracy. I tried some high velocity and some cheaper stuff and I did have to change the scope settings between the two, but either one gave me similar groups. So the cheap stuff will be used most of the time. My dad came over (he lives across the street from me) and he is going tomorrow to get the same gun and then the competition is on. Anyway - sorry to ramble on, but I am just real happy to fulfill my need for shooting without going to the range and blowing through $80 in ammo in under an hour.

Welcome to the forum! Happy to hear you're having fun. It can take from 500-1000 rounds to break in a springer. All the while you are learning how to hold the gun (lightly), so you should get even better groups as time goes on.
