Decided on this. Pretty cheap, pretty fancy. I could SERIOUSLY live without illuminated reticles, but it seems every manufacturer insists on including this or the even more expensive and ridiculous EZ-TAP illumination on anything comparable. The selling point for me is the double locking adjustment knobs and multi-mil reticle.

Pretty god-awful big, too, but I can work around it.

Anyone wanna tell me that I just made a bad choice? :P

Kind of depends on what you are putting on as a scope that big may not allow you to load some rifles or not easily anyway. I think if it will work with your rifle then you will find it a great scope.

I already have a set of dovetail super-high mounts, so I'm pretty sure it will fit.

Only the lower-end companies are insisting on having Illuminated Reticles- it is a useless "feature" which, to the unknowing seems like a benefit- i.e. more "bang for their buck" when in fact it's just some more useless parts in the tube.

Leapers is the "gimmick" company- many (most?) of their products have "features" that are either useless or will never be used by most people- but they sound good on paper apparently. Go look at the "big name" manufacturers- i.e. Leupold, Bushnell, etc. etc. and see how very few of their scopes have Illuminated Reticles (the ones that do exist from them are only to satisfy people that really want to believe they are useful for something).

Here's the thing: I only spent 70 dollars. If I wanted to take the beaucoup-buck swarovski off my 7mm I could... Giant Grin

For the price, I think it's going to be a fun improvement over the single-power scope that came strapped to my gun. I know they're a low-end company, but as far as holding a zero goes, I don't think they're junk. I have yet to find out for myself, however.

I;m not saying they are junk or not- only that they through on piles of useless junk in order to convince people they have a "feature filled" product. Like all the lower-end optics companies, some of their stuff will be pure junk, some not- the problem is determining which is which.

Happy customer so far! Took a little bit of droop correction, but I got her zero'd in tight in about 25 shots. Before I was done shooting paper, 2 doves sensed I was hungry and came and let me bag them. I messed around a lot adjusting from 3-12 and back again, and fired lots of test shots after Re-zeroing my turrets. Everything is in great working order, so far. The leds are capable of being WAY TOO BRIGHT, maybe if you wanted green crosshairs at noon it would be doable. On the low setting though, they are subdued and handy. Not my thing, but it does look neat.

Hopefully the day after tomorrow or tomorrow morning I can go fire another hundred rounds or so and she how she holds up.

I am perfectly satisfied with this scope. I would have paid twice what I did for a scope like this. Holds zero great, great clarity, great adjustments. Got a few 50+ yard kills by using my mil dot adjustments. Very cool scope.
