| okay so i just got a crosmen phantom from my buddy today and it wont fire, when i go to cauk it the break barrel moves the the spring wont compress, what is the problem |

Welcome.
Is the barrel just flopping sort of loose when you try to cock it, or is it hard and springy? (Make sure you don't let go of the barrel when trying to cock it or it will slam and maybe hurt you or the gun if there is spring pressure behind it.) |

| the barrel is not floppy, it will cock the whole way down but it wont cock the spring, the spring will not move at all |

Sounds like a busted cocking foot no longer pushing the spring/piston.
You'll need to buy or make a good spring compressor for airguns to take it apart safely and get it back together again after fixing it.
Unless you're in love with this rifle, it might be best to get a new gun. |

| yeah my friend gave it to me yesturday im not that inlove with it, and i took the scope off that one and put it on my other gun |
