I had my wife finally wanting to shoot my remington vantage today but she was finding it too heavy... was looking for recommendations for a lighter weight gun yet still got a bit of power |

Gamo Shadows are what I would call reasonably light. If you want any lighter, you'd be looking at youth models, which won't fit your bill for power.Even under-lever Gamo CFX models will be lighter than your vantage. With the exact same powerplant as their Shadow range.
Good luck |

Spring-piston powered guns tend to be on the heavy side because there has to be a lot of steel in there. They generally shoot better heavy, too.
Might get her a pump up like a Benjamin 392 ot a precharge like a Discovey. They don't have to have a long steel compression chamber, piston, etc. |

I bought my wife a Quest for the exact same reason. She picked it out and she finds it light and easy to cock.
However she also loves my QB78. |

| Is the Quest lighter? The only part number on the parts list that differs from the Vantage is the stock. Same mechanicals all around, unless the parts list is no longer valid. |

Ya your right. For some reason I was thinking NP, barrel shroud, hardwood stock...etc etc
At 6 lbs even it's going to be tough to find anything lighter ...except a youth model |

Thats what I was thinking about all I can find are the GAMO's and theyre around the 5- 5.5 lb mark.... maybe she will just have to put up with the extra weight haha... She's getting her own 9mm Ruger Handgun so she can just make do with my air gun :P |

| You can always go to http://www.crosman.com/custom-shop and order a custom 2400. That's what I did and I love it. It is a super light rifle and it hits hard with the 24 in barrel. |
