I'm a little bit out of it, to be honest.
I really wanna shoot a lot but something stops me. I do enjoy every time I go shooting but it's like somethings missing. Maybe there's no real secrets for me to uncover at the moment. That, and I generally don't have anything to do being unemployed, and that's really numbing.
Last two weeks I've been busy doing loads of oddjobs for free to get some name out there. Have to see where that's going, but I have been doing that kind of thing for ages. I might be able to land a course in working metal, or wood. I think there's a thing or two to learn from that, which will prove itself useful in the future.
I do feel the urge to go shooting at least two or three times a week, and I come back here at least once a day if not more. All you guys around here keep me coming back, but not really the guns, for the moment. |

I'm in that boat with my old VW Microbus. Got the engine sitting there in pieces since October and have no desire to work on it.
Sometimes things just go cold for a while. Don't worry about it. |

Hey there broom,I understand completely.A big part of the sport,is the common ground we all share, and sometimes the equipment is secondary my friend.I'm sure many people out there consider us just adults that play with bb guns, but it's more than that....you know what I mean... |

I hear ya on that, mate
However , If I owned that 300 target rifle of yours, I'd be out all day every day pinning the smallest hole possible in paper.
Funny thing is, only last night I saw one on Gun City's website. They are New Zealands biggest firearms dealer.I had never seen one advertised anywhere in this country till then. Maybe it's a sign to Put down my sledgehammer Patriot ( longest confirmed kill - 127 metres ) and dabble in the fine art of paper punching.... using a rifle designed for the job.
P.S. I would never give up my Patriot, not for the world. There is nothing like picking up and shouldering that beast, knowing what it's capable of first-hand.
P.P.S. That kill was on a rabbit that decided not to move after the first 2 shots hit a rocky bank right behind him.I'm quite certain if it were not for the dust puffs indicating where the first two shots had struck, I would not have been able to judge hold-over. I can work it out to around 80 metres, but after that, although there is still plenty of energy to kill, It's a whole new world of ballistics. From my gun, at least. |

I think everyone gets the blues this time of the year, I shoot most days even if it’s just for 10 minutes, I even go out into the fields with frost on the ground just in case something crops up, and I think to myself “I must be crackers” I haven’t even cleaned the car since last autumn, it was dark blue now it’s just $hity brown.

But, there's some good news too. I've recently gotten into another hobby that works a lot better when it's raining (and angers the neighbours, can't stop Rock 'n Roll though), and I got a lil' something something coming over on Februari the 5th. Next week I'm also ordering a new PC, which I can afford because I have a buddy working in a shop. |

Two weeks ago we had an unusually warm day so I hooked up the pressure washer and sprayed off our truck. It still had bugs from the summer on the grill and wind shield. It sure looks nice setting in the garage all cleaned up now. Hate to get it out in the snow... Somehow I do seen to get out in the garage to shoot several times a week, though. I can see where my priorities are!!! |

| Stu, I would rather have snow than all the rain we've been getting. My backyard is a swamp. THe dogs just track it all in too. I am so fed up with the weather. At least give us enough snow to play in for a day or two. I would like to have enough to mess up school for a day or two. That way my wife gets a day off which she sorely needs. |

We had a sunny 50° day here today with 5 MPH breeze. The yard was dry so I decided to get some trigger time in with the rifle. I managed to set up the benchrest table on the patio and shoot for two hours. Any shooting while seated is for me!!! The cold and rain is back tomorrow so I will have to savor the outdoor shooting I just had. |

You're doing better than I am Stu. It is plain nasty outside today. Dreary and bleary. The wind was out of the n at 25 mph yesterday so no shooting then either. I am so bored. My wife is getting a root canal today too, so the rest of my day will be extra fun. lol Anybody want to trade places for a while? |
