Hello to all I am new to the board and have a question please. I am about to buy a Crosman Pumpmaster Classic but I am really after something in this style in the 22 cal. instead of .177 anyone have any ideas of other models? Also want it to be either break down barrel or pump no co2 and also I would like it to be able to mount a red dot sight on it and also maybe a light/

They are getting scarce, the .22s in that general style. The Benjamin/Sheridan (see Crosman's website) are excellent .22 pump-up rifles, and more powerful, but they are definitely not that same look.
You would likely be happy with a Daisy 22SG, as they look similar to the Pumpmaster and traditional firearm styling, but have a metal receiver and wood stock like the Benjamin/Sheridans mentioned.
The 22SG is a .22 of course and comes with a decent scope for less than $100.......but, though I was able to purchase one a few months ago from Pyramyd Air (online) ans now I can't seem to find them on either their or Daisy's website. They may be discontinued as of this year. If you shop around you may still find one. I loved my SG, but it did spring an air leak so I don't know if mine was an odd lemon, or if there is a QC problem. Daisy stuff is usually pretty good, IMO.

Here's what it looks like. They are accurate and shoot a standard weight .22 pellet about 540 fps muzzle velocity.

Hi Radar and thanks for your comments and that is one nice looking rifle, but I have a rifle I need a hand gun in 22 I have a problem in close quarters with mice and need something quicker than a trap hahaha. I just opened up a empty room on the end of my house that hasn't been used in years and its full of them. I got over a dozen with my rifle but I have to watch the rifle tends to shoot right through the walls and to the outside. I guess I will end up with the Classic because I just cant find one in that style anywhere in 22. Thanks buddy for all the info.

Your problem is easily solved for under $20.

The pumpmaster classic is also known as the 1377 or 13xx on many of these forums

You can simply convert it to 22 using off the shelf crosman parts....

Or if you wait a month or two crosman is re releasing the 1322

SMA thanks buddy I cant wait I am over run with mice hahahaa I opened up a outer room on the end of my house and its full of field mice. Getting tired of shooting straight through the walls with my pellet rifle.

search 1377 or 13xx on this site and prepare to be overwhelmed. It is probably the second most modded gun ever.

Hey SMP I found one a Crosman 1322 going to buy it tomorrow cant wait to get it so I can add a lazer to it and I would love to find a set of wood grips and forearm for it. What all can be modded on it SMP?

Firstly...That is one sweet ride! I've been a jeep'er since I started driving.

Mods
1)FTP (flat top piston) probably the most common mod allows more efficient use of each pump and higher ultimate velocity
2) Crosman steel breach. Allows use of scopes lasers and target sights and gives a more rigid barrel/breach assembly
3) Adjustable trigger spring
5) Two stage sear. Improves trigger geometry for improved accuracy
6) Extended probe bolt. Improves accuracy and velocity by moving the pellet past the transfer port. (the air blast can bend the skirt of the pellet
7) 12' 14" 16" 18" 20" 24" Barrels of multiple makes. Improve sight radius and yield increase in velocity
8)Custom grips and pump arms. Bling and target accuracy
9) Custom brass and aluminum breaches, bolts, end caps, sights, muzzle weights, brakes. Some functional mostly bling
10) thousands of aftermarket butt stocks to create carbine models

For shooting mice indoors, the 12 foot barrel might be a hindrance. Wink

Seriously, though they are great guns, very accurate and no end to the modifications that can be done.

Wow now that is a lot of mods I just hope this gun will shoot like I want it too. Also who on here makes the custom grips and fore arms plus I will be getting back to one of you to let me know where and how much it costs to have a lot of these mods done to it when I get it. My Gamo was shooting through the walls out there and so that is why I want a pistol, never had a 22 caliper pellet gun before so I just hope it holds up good for me.
PS- The picture above is not actually a Jeep, its my 1982 Yamaha gas powdered golf cart that I customized to resemble a old style jeep named it the GeepII. Sure have a lot of money into it and about 4 years of work. Reason it took me so long to build it is because I cant walk not until here recently I have been into 6 weeks so far of a home physical therapist that comes to my home and he has me back to walking now a little. But the GeepII I built and put on a 5 inch body lift, over size mag wheels and knobby tires just finished the paint job a few weeks ago still have many things to put on it yet so it will finally be finished.
Makes me happy you enjoyed the pic of it my friends. Calvin.

Geep, with respect to your question about where and how much it costs to have the mods done, "where" is your shop/office/kitchen and "how much" is the cost of parts or some elbow grease. If you built that slick ride, you can mod one of these guns.

I absolutely agree with MSEO. If you can remove a couple screws and knock out a pin you can have your way with a 13xx.
