Looking good...How did you mod it? Just got one the other day. Doesn't look like mine.

Damn, I wish I still had photo's of my M14 SOCOM that I recently sold.
You fellas would fizz-at-the-bung over it. It was a de-commissioned piece used in the Middle-East. It was kitted out with full black-ops gear, weighed more than a bus, and cost me half a years pay. I sold it and purchased a $15,000 Lexus. Sorry to jump in randomly with that, but seeing this assault rifle on here woke me up from my mistake of letting it go... Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Yep I made the same mistake...Sold my Armalite M15-A4 when I moved. Not as fancy as NZ's mod, but hell of a lot of fun. Taught my grandson to shoot rifle with it. That boy could burn up some ammo...LOL!

Ern...How's that red dot? Might add one on. Mine's a back yard plinker, don't want to get too involved $$$$$.
Thanks

Pics would have been really cool! Well looks like you got some good money for her. At least you got yourself a nice car out of the deal.

AirShooter2012, I really like the Red Dot sight on the M417. It's great for about 20 yards or so which is perfect if you are just plinking with your gun. My Red Dot is about $30 brand new, my dad found this one still in the case at a thrift store for $1.00! Even the batteries were still good!

Is the cheek piece designed to be reversible?

Hey Slavia, yeah you can use the cheeck piece the other way around if you like. I had to carefully trim it some to get it to fit the M417 stock, but it was worth it in the end. It came as a set of two cheeck pieces. The other one is on my 760. Here is the link where I got it from.
