Howdy folks......newbie too this forum here.
I grew up hunting with air rifles and downed plenty of tree rats in my day......well, I guess at 48 years old, I'm wanting something a little more challenging so I'm going back too airgunning.
Now I didnt want too spend a fortune on this endeavor so after doing some reading, I ended up buying the Benjamin NP XL 1100 in .22 caliber.
Do you guys think this was a wise choice?
I am going too order the GT III aftermarket trigger.
I'm not sure what a good price is but I got the gun brand new from Amazon for $229.00 with free shipping. They are back up too 267 today.
I live in the southwestern part of West Virginia and we have great hunting here.....I'm really looking forward too sighting this new toy in!.
A couple buddies are looking too buy guns also, if you guys can reccomend anything better at under 300 bucks, please do so! Thanks. |

Welcome! You'll like it here. This forum is really down-to-earth and has really helpful and knowledgable members.
I'll leave it to others to comment on the rifle...it sounds like a great rifle, but I know nothing about them, honestly.
I am about the same age, and got seriously back into airgunning recently for the same reasons as you. I even got a big-bore .45 airgun now to try for deer in Missouri where I usually hunt with a powder burner. (My understanding is that is allowed there if at least .40 caliber.)

Awesome choice. I love mine and have that same trigger with it, and once you get used to shooting a super-magnum springer it's ACCURATE! Mine luckily isn't too pellet picky but has a much smoother firing cycle with pellets between 16 and 18 grains.
Mine is coming up on two years old in a couple months and aside from my gas ram leaking very slowly and being replaced a couple months ago, I've had no problems. Probably close to if not over 5000 rounds |

Hello Mayor and welcome to the forum.
Very nice choice in air rifles. There are a number of good air rifles for the >$300 range. Yours is a great choice if you don"t mind learning to shoot a big springer. |

Welcome. Have fun with that nitro piston. Im on the fence of getting one or just continue to save up for a .22 discovery.
I though they recommended the GRT 4 for the nitro piston models? |
