It has seen some significant changes in the last few days.... The breech, trigger, and sights have been changed to those from an AR 2078.... The breech has a raised rail for the target peep sight that comes on an AR 2078, and the front globe sight has been fitted as well.... The trigger is now the two-stage unit from an AR 2078, with the contact points polished and is easily adjustable for pull weight with a screw behind the trigger guard - no need to remove the stock.... I really like this trigger, it suits the way the gun is setup as an inexpensive target rifle.... The gun shoots one hole groups at 20' on my indoor range (small squares on the target are 0.1")....

I did some experimenting with the hammer spring, and it has been clipped 1.5 coils.... This one small change has given the gun about 100 more shots per fill.... It now gets about 250 shots starting from 3000 psi at ~495 fps with 14.3 gr. JSB Exact Express pellets and you can shoot down to 500 psi before the velocity drops 3%.... If you fill the gun with a pump to 2000 psi, you should still get about 150 shots per fill.... The gun weighs 7 lb. 5 oz. as shown, and balances just in front of the main stock mounting bolt.... The stock is one of the nicest I have seen on a QB, with a dark even stain, but underneath the grain is nicely figured, and the stock is flawless....
