Here is a pic of my 2300 custom after I shaped the grips to fit my hand better. THe grips are supposed to be cocobolo but all the red color was in the finish. Now it's just a muddy brown. Oh well, it still fits my hand perfectly. That was what I was going for. It's a heavy sucker though! It will have you shaking in under a couple minutes if you are trying to aim. It's cool looking and fun to play with though, which is why we love this pistol so much. Yawn Okay enough boring you. Here's the pic!

That looks awesome Todd. I hope to have one like that some day. What size barrel is that?

Sweet set up there Todd.
Cool
I was just shooting mine today in the back yard. For the money, the Custom Shop guns are hard to beat.I'm looking forward to building another one.I'm playing with a 14 inch barrel at the moment...a bit long, but I don't have to tell you, these guns are accurate. Mr. Green
Just wondering...What kind of scope you got on that rig?

Well, I have the 10.1 in .22 barrel, THe NC star 2.5x30 pistol scope, and the cocobolo target grips. I just love the way the pistol fits in my hand. I have big hands so I am used to them being crowded on something like this, but I was able to reshape these enough to fit me perfectly. I would recommend buying the wood grips if only to make it fit your hand fuller. The plastic ones just don't have the feel you need to settle the pistol down in your hand, at least for me anyway. I will be posting some of my other pistols up here soon. I just want to share with the world. Maybe these will give somebody an idea on how to customize their own. THe grips are the biggest improvements you can make to your gun, and they aren't hard to do at all.

thats a shweet pistol you got there.
Just so you're aware cocobolo can be very much dominated by brown. Without a closer pic I cant tell you one way or the other what it is but I've seen cocobolo dominated by brown, even with streaks of black, orange, or red

I'm not really concerned if it's cocobolo or not now that they fit. lol I just thought it was pretty bad that they obviously used a red dye in the finish.
