Hey Guys and Gals,..
So, I'm Talking with one of my mates at work about My NEW KickButt Nitro Air Rifle, which he starts talling Me about his "step son's" bb\pellet rifle..... So I asked him,... Which is it Dude, is it a bb gun or Pellet gun?
BOTH he says and I'm like He begins to tell me it shoots BOTH bbs AND pellets, which ofcourse I have Never heard of.
I've never heard of this, and I am wondering IS this something "Special" or?
TIA
Peace Jeff |

There are quite a few pellet/BB guns on the market, usually they shoot BB's semi auto from a magazine and pellets single shot, most are pistols.

Thanks Al,
So, that sounds Cool, are they any good at shooting bbs "ON Target"?
And I know you know what I mean by "ON Target"
Can any of us who have Pellet Air Rifles.... go and throw a bb in them and fire them without hurting are guns/Rifles?
Thanks again

Most BB guns are smooth bore therefor are not very accurate, there are a few with rifled barrels that use lead BB's and are better.
You can stick a plastic BB or lead one in an air rifle but I can't se the point as the performance will be rubbish compaired to using a pellet.

Technically speaking, your air rifle is a dual ammunition gun, in that it will shoot lead BB's as well as pellets. I would never shoot steel BB's through a rifled bore for fear of scratching and ruining the rifling. Al is right - why would you want to do it? Pellets are more accurate.
The guns that actually advertise being dual ammunition are on the lower end of the price spectrum, and are usually smoothbore. |

| There are actually many BB/Pellet Air Rifles. They usually shoot somewhere around 600-750Fps. Usually they are purchased for Kids mature enough to step up from something like a Red Ryder. Many companies make them, Crosman, Daisy, etc. However, the only downfall is the fact that most of the barrels are not Rifled, so you lose a Ton of accuracy. |

Thanks Guys,
Cool to know guys,
Also, as I am a shooter of Handguns and Rifles, I do know Rifling is what gives the "spin" to our Bullets or in this case Pellets and getting said "Spin" on the Bullet\Pellet is what gives it it's accuracy....
I guess this is why I was so supprised to hear there is "Air Guns" out there designed\set-up for shooting both.
Thanks again peps,
Peace Jeff |

| check out the crosman 2100 classic. it has like a 15 round bb magazine built into the gun for quick, bolt action reloads. i dont recall the bbs firing too accurately, but pellets were always very accurate, as in "ON target." truly the best of both worlds without compromises. |
