Ive given up on Pellet guns especially springers since no scope I can get ahold of can tolerate any kind of springer without ruining it or knocking it off the dialed settings. One day I will shoot perfect 3 inch round target groups and then the next day the pellets will fly everywhere sometimes even after I dial in the scope a couple of hours later after.Im just going to stick to my firearm rifles since I can dial a scope once on a rimfire or centerfire and dont have to set it again for years later. I hope the folks making optics can make a rifle scope for an airgun that will work because I love shooting airguns even though I have a large farm where I can shoot any type of gun I can hold. Someday Someday  |

What sort of scopes you been trying? There are lots of scopes that will hold up and not move around behind higher-powered springers- if they are mounted correctly. |

| Ruined a bushnell even though it still said its compatible with airguns,then I was trying the centerpoint scope that came with the airgun I bought,maybe it loss accuracy because I dieseled the gun a few times? IDK . I doubt it hurt it. |

That would be so nice to have a lot of land and privacy to do as you please on it without nosy neighbors around. Oh well someday maybe.
I'm having more luck with my 880S than my Air Hawk since the springer is hard to shoot accurately for me despite now having the RWS dome pellets. I just shot a small adolescent squirrel today(body about 8" long not including the tail and about 4" around) and it went all the way through his body and took out a big notch in my shop wall so that pellet still had a lot of power after going through the squirrel and it was a heart shot that went through his rib cage instead of a soft part of him like a gut shot.
That really surprised me so I'll have to shoot those small squirrels with fewer than 10 pumps from now on. |

| It got better. I think what it was is that the pellets are not seating properly. The daisy pointed pellets arent too good. I use gamo and crosman hollow points for better results. Yeah I got all kinds of firearms. Rimfires and Centerfires. I just like shooting my pellet gun off the porch when Im not in the mood to go out . The weather in South Texas is hotter than bacon frying in a skillet. Too hot even with a canopy. |

| Oh yeah,if you are shooting in town where theres most likely a city ordinance idk in your area. I just knew some friends that live in city limits and they have gotten several tickets for shooting them in town. Not only that,these pellet guns now adays are very powerful. If that pellet would riccochet and hit someone in the head and kill them you will most like do a lot of time in prison. Even if its a pellet gun. Im sure with the way the country is going now I wouldnt doubt that someday the Government will probaly make you get some kind of permit to have an airgun. Idk |

What kind of airgun are you shooting? A 308 Corsair? A 9mm Shinsung? A .50 Beaumont? Ricochets from most break barrel and below 20 Fpe over say 15 yards don't do that much damage to a person.
The worst ricochet I have witnessed was someone getting hit in the eye with shrapnel from a .38 Beaumont pellet (from an airgun) because he wasn't wearing safety glasses (thus being his own fault).
Airgun ricochets seldomly break the skin. 
Besides, a permit isn't the end of the world you know. Just like the fact paying tax doesn't hurt as much as some people might think.  |
