It is so nice here today! 83 degrees with partly cloudy skies and just enough breeze to keep it comfortable. My boys and I have been outside with the red ryder this afternoon, and there is plenty of pop can carnage out in the back yard today. Even my 4 year old tried his hand at the bb rifle today. He is big for his age, but he still isn't big enough to hold it right or understand what the sights are for. He just got a kick out of shooting it. They start back to school monday so I am making use of what little time they have left.
I just want to give them good stories for what they did on summer break. I remember that stupid report from when I was a kid. I personally think it's a form of punishment that teachers inflict on the younger kids because they are mad about having to come back to school and they have to take it out on somebody. lol
The old 760 got the cobwebs knocked off of it for my 10 year old today. I still have to pump it for him, but he loves to shoot it. It's nice and light, and with a scope on it it is actually pretty accurate. I want to get him a daisy because I understand they are easier to pump up, but I don't know which one to get him yet. I need to do more research on it first. I am a crosman diehard so it sorta galls me that a daisy product is actually better than my crosmans. lol
Tace, my 10 year old got to shoot my 2400 too. He is in love with that rifle. I can't blame him because I love it too. It is dead on accurate, reasonably light, and doesn't have to be pumped up. It feels like a real rifle too, not like the plasticy 760 that feels like it is going to snap in half every time you get to the 8th pump.
I got some trigger time with my TitanGP, my RS2, and my Storm XT. I wanted more time, but with me promising my wife that we would go out to eat tonight, I had to clean up my boys and my mess early. It didn't take as long as I thought it would so I have some time to post how my day went. It's been a really fun day, and I can't wait till next weekend when we can do it again. I want some pistol time with the next weekend off, and I may actually may be able to pull it off tomorrow with my boys shooting some more.
Ya know, I am 42 years old, and I have 6 kids. I have 5 boys and one girl. I didn't know about my daughter until she was 16, and she was already pretty much a lost cause because she was running right in the same rails as her mother. I never got to be a father to her until it was too late, and it was also too little. One of my boys that lives with me now is actually my 4 year old grandson, that I have had custody of ever since his mother disappeared.
My boys are good boys. I spent as much time with all of them as I could when they were growing up, and even though some of them were products of divorce, my oldest have all grown up to be fine and responsible men. My oldest is a pharmacist, my second oldest is a soldier in afganistan, one is a factory supervisor, and my two youngest are A and B students.
I am raising my grandson as my own, even though he has problems that are not his fault. There is a long story to that and one I am not comfortable discussing. He is trying hard as much as he can to learn things like colors and letters and numbers, but it is hard for him. He starts in head start in a few weeks, and I hope they will be able to help him more than I have been able to do.
I know I have meandered all over the place in this post, and forgive me for it, but my point is, appreciate what you have, even if it isn't exactly what you wanted. It can still be enjoyable if you face it the right way. |

| After reading quite a few reviews, You may want to get your son a Daisy Powerline 880. All of the reviews said it is Accurate, Easy to Pump, and Excellent for Beginners shooters. |

At the moment you seem to be as blessed as you are odd, Todd.
Makes me look forward to having my own place in the countryside, having some lil 'Dutchicans running around the house... |

You will be blessed with children someday Broom. SOmetimes they make you want to tear your hair out, but it's all worth it in the end. |
