I've wanted this scope for 2 years! I rule!!
3-9x40mm alluminated red/green mil-dot AO.
Focuses down to 5 yards.
It's on the rifle of which I have the most threads.
Solid build. Precise knob controls. Clear glass.
Unbeatable for the measely $75.
Came with flip up lense covers (on a burner scope) and sunshade.
Any newbie looking for a quality affordable spring rated scope
should consider one. I recon it will out live the rifle.

I have one on my Disco.... put it's little brother (3-9 x 32 AO) on my B-26 and I love it.... I didn't need the IR and wanted the lighter weight....

I thought I wanted the lighter weight with the 2-7x32 that broke
day one. When this one was fitted I figgered (and was right) that the little extra weight would help in balance and accuracy as did MUZZLEMACKING
the barrel.
Unless I have a "new toyota" with this brand,
Leapers just landed a repeat client.
Thumbhole stock by xmas. Maybe I can find someone
to refinish it for me. |

Congrats Sniper,
I've been looking at them too, glad you mentioned it was Springer rated too!
I'm looking at the 4-16 x56mm with side focus and illuminated Mil-Dot reticle right now and sent off an email to Leapers to inquire if it would handle the considerable recoil of the Benjamin NP? I sure hope it will as it seems to be one very nice scope for sure!
Also in doing some comparison shopping I noticed that the Center Point scopes used the same turrets and locking rings at the turret bases just like the Leapers scopes have and between the same two scopes of the 4-16 x 56 type the Leapers is about $35.00 less
Enjoy! |

IMO, you really don't need a scope that powerful on a break barrel.
The inherent challenge of accurate shots with dual recoil is only amplified with higher magnafication. Though this one goes to 9x- like my other springer- I don't go higher than 6x.
I see a second one of the same when the day comes I get my TX200. |

| Congrats on your new scope!I hear a-lot of good things about Leapers, but have never owned one. They are a great bang for the buck I hear.I think you made a perfect choice in a scope for a springer.I was Just on "Flea Bay" last night looking at glass...I'm looking for something with an illuminated reticle as well.My Hammers 3x9x32 AO has performed flawlessly on my Discovery, but is now on another rig so I need new glass.I'm kind of gravitating towards something 4x16x50 S.W.A.T. style with a side wheel parallax adjustment. After hearing good things about leapers I'll be checking them out more closely... |

Say Mark,
Happy Father's Day too!
You'll love the convenience of the side wheel focusing as it seems to be more accurate too. Also Leaper offers a large slip on Big Wheel to make the side focusing that much easier and more precise! I was just outside with the cheap Center/Point with front bell focusing, what a PIA that is.
I'm used to having the convenience of side focusing and could definitely see how the Big Wheel would come in handy when trying to support the rifle by allowing easy focusing with one finger and your thumb or maybe just your thumb. I'm definitely getting a Big Wheel for my scope.
In a 30mm tube which offers better light transmission Leapers offers two 3-12 x44mm SWAT {Side Focus} that also have the EZ Tap feature and 36 different color settings for various illumination settings.
http://www.leapers.com/listproduct.php?mitem=optic&mlevel=2&level1=Tube_Diameter&level2=30mm&mtrack=2m1
Then the next step up with a 30mm tube is the 4-16 x56mm SWAT with EZ Tap but just Red or Green which you can switch back and forth too without loosing your intensity setting and it also has a memory setting so the next time it's turned on it goes back to the prior setting. Pretty neat and that can be very useful too!
There also one step above this yet in the 8-32 x56mm. The reason I want the 56mm is for better low light gathering plus I have an ARD from my prior scope that fits that size front objective.
An ARD is a grid work of short tubes that allow lite transmission but blocks out reflections from the front Reticle and even blocks out Sun light when viewed from a slight side angle so it has two purposes. The Kill Flash ARD has a black grid work to it but I painted the outside a Rust color as well as having the front of the scope wrapped with Army digital Camo Form self adhesive tape so it disquises the front of the scope very nicely.
I'm anxious to get mine and see exactly what the twelve Mil-Dot Reticle in both Horizontal & Verticle looks like? They say it finely etched and I know
what that should look like so it should be interesting.
It's good to read the positive things said about these heavy shock force rated scopes. I'm trying to see if I can get established with them to offer their line of scopes for sale so I'll see what happens?
It should be interesting to see how these scopes work for us?
Take care. |

Say Sniper and the other guys,
Hope your having a good Father's Day!
Something else I wanted to pass along as a pro photographer is that a Lens Pen is one the best things you can use to clean your scope lenses with as well as your camera lenses!
Very quick and convenient and puts an emaculate shine on them plus it also has an integral soft cleaning brush to it.
It's all I use on my scopes and lenses. |

Don't apologize David. Sniper is the biggest hijacker on here! Especially when he gets into the wine. |

Just because a scope has a 30mm tube doesn't necessarily mean it's brighter.... I had one of the 3-12 x 44AO Leapers SF scopes (no IR) and it wasn't as bright as my 3-9 x 40 AO with a 1" tube in low light when both were set to 3X.... In addition, the field of view was less, and from the approximate measurements I did it appeared it was more like 4X on the lowest setting not 3 (ie it was really a 4-12 x 44)....
I've since tested my 3-9 x 40AO against my 3-9 x 32AO (both Leapers) and in darkening conditions set at 3X the 32mm Objective was actually fractionally better.... There is no subsitution for actually trying a scope in low light conditions to see how it works....
