So today I saw a post regarding this limit and it reminded me I had intended to see if I could break it...
I started out topping of my tank to 2700PSI, I wanted 3000PSI but that all I had in my scuba tank. Set the power wheel to "full power" or "level 13" and was using a 23.8" .22cal Lothar Walther barrel, the gun valving and hammer are still completely stock and never adjusted...
Fill pressure...
Projectiles used...
This is a RWS Hyper velocity round (in regular/full form) this picture was taken after I pushed it into the barrel, it actually slid out about 1/8" which IMO means its not going to grab the rifling too well and loose speed...
The first shot with a regular RWS Hyper velocity round...
Then I went back to something I tried before just to make noise: JUST the casing of the same RWS round, I found a bunch stuck in the duct seal in my backstop. I also noticed that since it had been shot, it was slightly deformed and offered more resistance (than the "new" one did) going into the barrel/rifling...
That actually made my Condor sound like a RF
The cleaning pellets would do mid-1400's, thought I took a picture but I guess not...
Cheers,

I was looking for the thread here but couldn't find it.... The theory was that air can't expand faster than the velocity of the molecules.... which in the case of air is about 1649 fps at 70*F....
That's why they call 'em theories.... they're only good until proven wrong....
