Slight breeze, otherwise a decent day for shooting. Scope was Leapers UTG 4x32AO. One flier indicated by arrow on square was from adjusting my arm as I was laying on the ground. Stickers are the 3" targets. Not bad for a $250 gun and crappy Premiers out of a tin!

3" ctc!!!

Shooting in the basement just now, noticed POI was 1/3" left. Sure as hell my scope mounts were loose. Thinkin when I re sight at 100 groups should shrink a little bit

Pretty good. I can manage a 5" group with my G1 - it seems like at 100 yards the whole thing is reading the wind.

What's really fun is watching the expressions of guys shooting burners that can't even get on paper at that range.

Nice shooting. I've never attempted 100 yards with ANY gun, let alone an air gun. Sounds like fun stuff.

I've had guys walk by and take a couple extra looks at my G1 like...what the heck is that thing? Cool No one has asked yet, but they have the puzzled look in their eyes.

A scope is pretty important, not just for aiming, but for seeing where the shots are landing. A dirt backstop is good, because you can see the little dust clouds where the pellet hits. A little tougher but possible is leaf deflection. If the sun is at 45 degrees behind you it may be possible to see the pellet in flight.

I like reactive targets because they save walking - even with a spotting scope .177" holes are hard to see. I use a 9" pot lid now, but I started out with a 55 gallon drum lid. Go out and try it!

A scope is pretty important,

My G1 is the one that came with a Center Point 3-9x32AO with mil dots. Nice little scope. I paid only $99 plus tax for the gun and scope combo.

Sounds like fun. I like reactive targets too. Pill bottles, clay pigeons, tin cans, golf balls...anything that moves when hit. And if you hit just under some of these targets, they'll pop up in the air. I love that. It makes my kids say, "Wow, you really nailed that one dad." Little do they know I actually missed...on purpose, of course.

oops, I think we thread-jacked this one. Sorry.

Not really - I'm trying to talk you into trying it. We may not get 3" groups like domer_pyle, but it sure is fun.

The mil dots help at 100 yards. I also have a 3-9X32AO mil dot scope on my G1, but simply branded Crosman. Probably from the Flung Lo factory in Kantsee, China.

Same scope, from what I've ready online. Yes, definitely a Tea Cup, China special, but seems built well enough for it's intended use.

Now, to find 100 yards to shoot it in. I wonder if the local golfers would mind a little lead flying past? Probably...golfers are so picky. Rolling Eyes

When I bought my Genesis in what I believe was '05 it had a nice 3-9x40 on it with no name, looked pretty much like a CenterPoint though. That thing just saw it's last day not long ago!

Don't forget about the golfers getting their plaids all in a twist and dropping a cigar or two from all the little *crack* sounds. One group of people that don't have a sense of humor that's for sure.

Hell I say go for it. Try to shoot their golf balls after they land and see how far away from the spot they think it's in you can get it to go lol. Or maybe shoot them off the tee as they try to tee off haha, could be dangerous though
