| Sorry if its a stupid question but I just got into the airgun scene, I recently bought a gamo whisper and upon mounting the scope (the stock scope) i noticed that the end of the barrel is visible in the scope, so im just wondering is that normal? and if it isnt how could i fix it?[/img] |

| I believe you are seeing the front sight through the scope. This is pretty common and normal. Sometimes the front sight can be removed if it bothers you, but in the case of the Whisper I believe the front sight is integral to the muzzle break so it's not so easy. What you could do is replace the standard scope mount with extra high ones. This may clear your sight picture somewhat. Kust a few thoughts. Good luck. |

also if you are going to be doing just scope shooting you could creatively remove the front sight with the appropriate tool. im talking about non- reversable surgery but if you want the scope low and dont shoot with iron sights who cares. just make it look neat and it should work. sharp hack saw comes to mind. also razor knife heated on a stove makes short work of plastic. good luck. |
