Could someone give me the size of the hole at the end of the chamber (you know the hole where the air exit to push the pellet) of a crosman phantom 1000 ?
I'm asking this question because I've notice that the hole of my crosman 500 have a smaller diameter than the barrel hole.
Thank you! |

Hi..
around 3mm....
DO NOT be tempted to drill it bigger...The size of the hole is what
regulates the preasure in the chamber....Make it bigger the air exscapes easyer so the chamber reachs a lower preasure...Then a heayer pellet
will be required.. To try and bring the preasure back up....
JUST DON"T DO IT |

| Some people have tried to expand the transfer port on the B18/B19/Quest/Phantom/etc. etc. platform, and as Kanyon has indicated- it has generally been nothing but a big disappointment and often results in other issues. Keep in mind that there is no difference in port size between a '500' and a '1000' version rifle- when it was designed the transfer port size was set-up to match the maximum amount of airflow that could come from the tube/compression chamber as equitably as possible. This is one of those modifications which will not work well unless you have a very specific reason for wanting to do it- i.e. like always using heavier pellets. |

This is what I wanted to know. So there is no reason to expand the port.
Thank you |
