I'm have no luck with 8.3 or 10 grain pellets. Does this thing typically like REAL heavy pellets???
I get 4'' groups off a rest at 60 feet.....
Could it be that my RWS 3-9 Scope is not holding zero???
I appreciate any suggestions.....THANKS!

Now in theory, you should be able to get under one inch groups at 25 yards. I had a more or less similar-ish rifle which could go past 70 yards and I could get 1 inch groups out of it. Let's start trouble shooting:

Have you tried the artillery hold?

It could be that you're not holding the gun right, I'm not sure how familiar you are with spring powered airguns, as I see you made your first post just now.

Especially on these kind of airguns we sometimes refer to as heavy or "magnum" -springers, they can be a pain in the a$$. The 350 has been known to be a tad hard to shoot and get into. Don't grasp it to tight, as a matter of fact, try to hold it loosely.

Recoil Based Scope Trouble

Check if your scope isn't walking towards or away from you on the rail, this can be a problem It could also be that your airgun is killing your scope as a whole. These problems can be caused by the double recoil of a spring powered airgun.

Break it in!

How long have you been shooting it? Guns tend to need to break in, especially springers. It may smooth out which may also help a bit. Maybe you need to break in with the rifle. Every airgun is different, especially springers. This sometimes differs with a different gun, even though it's the same model as one that's a serial number up or down.

Pellets

Pick the right pellets, I'm thinking Baracuda Extra Heavies or maybe JSB jumbos. I take it you got the .177, as you're talking of 10 grainers? The 'cudas are 10.3 if I recall and did well in my (less powerfull) Diana 48.

The 350 (and the copy, the BAM B28) are apparently quite the handful. I would try some heavier pellets as well.

The scope, mounts and rings all look solid. No movement there.

This is my first air / spring rifle, I got it used, so I have no idea how used it is.
I've been shooting for quite a while, but I was not aware that these need to be free while shooting.

Where's a good place to buy heavy pellets? The local sporting goods stores have nothing. Any brand or weight that you guys would suggest?

THANKS for the help!

Baracuda Extra Heavy by H&N. May be a tad expensive.

Take a good read on the artillery hold, and just shoot it a lot, it may very well be that you just have to get used to the darned thing, springers like that need that experience.

You'll be okay, at least you won't have to go trough the whole learning to shoot at all thing. Shooting a firearm becomes easier too, at least that's what I've found from shooting airguns.

Read about it in great detail above, but basically it's a very loose hold instead of a tight grip that is needed to shoot a springer, especially a magnum springer like the 350.
