Just bought a Crosman Phantom M# CS5M22 .22 cal.
Crosman Website doesnt even list the gun.

Just looking for some general info and opinions about this gun. Ive owned a couple pellet guns before. This is my first break barrel. Ive tried to do a google search on this gun without much luck. Wondering If ive made a good choice? My use for the gun is targetting a bit in the back yard and pest control. The overall feel of the gun, feels better then the guns ive owned before. Power seems to better as well. The box says up to 495 fps. I remember doing a google search on my remington and it saying that it was up to 700 fps. This phantom seems more powerful then the Remington but I could be wrong.

Any input appreciated.

You need to use the "back" button on your browser and look through the 4 or 5 threads going on the Phantom 500 already!

The Phantom 500 is pretty consistent right out of the box shooting 450-490fps using 14.3gr pellets (although one person did report seeing closer to 400fps). If you modify it, you can expect 700+ fps using the same weight pellet without trying too hard.

Compared to detuned 760s and AM77s sold in Canada (I have to assume you are in Canada or you went through alot to get the Phantom 500- it is a "Canada only" gun)- this is a totally different gun- .22 caliber, much higher muzzle energy, and spring-powered. Great gun for the money and a far better deal (price-wise) than either of the other two.

You do need to "break it in" for 400 shots or so- it will undoubtedly be dieseling and burning off the lower-quality lube put in at the factory. At that point, it will fire a bit more smoothly and quietly and the trigger should loosen up a bit on the pull.
