Hi all,
This is my first post and thought this would be interesting to most 22XX 13XX Owners.

These are pictures of my frame on my brand new 2400 from Crosman Custom Shop. The new frame seems to be setup for a drop away sear and intermediate lever(although not provided). From the video of the New Marauder pistol I believe it carries this new trigger design? Hopefully those parts will be availabe after they release the new design or maybe a good custom project to start on.

Interesting, I shall let this soak in on me for a bit. An improved trigger would certainly be a nice change. Mr. Green

It appears to be the same setup that has been used for a number of years on the 2300 pistols.

I have not seen the three bolt design on any pictures of the 2300.

If it is true that this has been out for a few years why hasn't anybody capitalyzed on that aditional pin location for a drop down, two stage trigger? Shocked

I will get on my cad software tonight and see if I cant come up with a few drawings. Maybe a program to send off to Laser cutter. Mr. Green

I also noticed that most of the pictures of the Marauder pistol show the old style frame. The one at the 2010 Shotshow is of the three screw design and has an adjustment screw in the botom of the frame just aft of the O/T screw. The one I have does not have this. This leads me to imagine a drop sear with intermediate lever. This would make these frames trully match quality(if it's true). Time will tell.

The sear/trigger adjustment is directly from the 2300 pistol, and if you look at the diagram/a picture of the 2300T frame- it also has some pivot adjustment: http://www.crosman.com/pdf/manuals/2300T%20EVP.pdf

Crosman has typically kept the 2300 frame and the regular 2240/2250/13xx frames from overlapping- I assume so they have one more reason to justify the price difference between a 2240 and a 2300.

Note that the frame in that drawing is quite a bit different than the photos. Trigger plate is 3 screw on the one I have photographed, the one in the schematic is the standard two hole and no extra pivot cast into frame. Look closely at images. It a completely different casting not just a hole drilled for O/T screw.

It looks like to me the 2300 has only the overtravel adjustment and the trigger pull. My frame has those basic adjustments but an extra pivot and spring mount sitting idle in the 2400 configuration but very useful. I already have done some drawings using some designs I've used in designing tranquilizer pistols used by animal care specialists. Just need some time to make a prototype to work out bugs. This could take a long time as trigger ingagement on a new design usually takes many mods to get right. Then theirs also figuring out pretravel, 1st and 2nd engagement screws. It is all made easier by this frame though.

The newly improved trigger on the Marauder pistol is accomplished by redesigning the grip frame from our popular 2240 series of guns and adding an adjustable, two-stage, drop sear trigger utilizing precision heat treated metal components. The mechanism is designed and built with the same materials and precision as the very popular Marauder rifle trigger group.

As I stated time will tell.

I wonder when parts will be available? I sure would like a real 2 stage trigger not to mention drop sears work much better for lowering pull.
