As I said in my first thread here a couple of weeks ago, I have never shot any kind of long gun, so air rifles and shooting are both new to me.
I really enjoy the personal challenge of hitting my beer bottle cap targets Mr. Green , but the primary reason I took up this hobby is to control starlings and sparrows from my bird housing. The primary area I will be shooting at pests is 75-80 ft from my shooting spot, and it's about 8 feet higher than I will be sitting. I'm just wondering what effects angle elevations have on aiming for accuracy. Do I need to aim higher than my actual target spot, and if so, how do I calculate it?

8 feet in 80 is such a small angle that the difference in POI is negligible....

Shooting up or down an angle will require you to aim lower than normal, but the angle you're shooting won't matter

Do yourself a favor and download Chargun Pro, all the questions you have about projectile drop, velocity change, and even shooting at angles can easily be answered in a couple seconds
