Personally I believe charity begins at home. I know the US government gives to everybody and anybody, but that isn't the way I feel.

At the World Cup in South Africa, all the local supporters had these trumpets, which they blow all the way through the game. The horrible noise was bloody deafening, and ruined the games.

Apparently, most of the world has not yet figured this one out- don't send money to Africa as a donation- make them work for it. Seems to me most of the continent has become the great social welfare experiment of the century (this one and the last one).

But I find the sentiment funny- give 'em cash and they buy trumpets, not the things they actually need.

I agree.Dealing with our economic issues starts on the home front.I'm all for helping people that are less fortunate etc....however when you look at 15 million unemployed in the U.S....that's a little problem there.... Shocked
I just recently talked to someone who has a master's degree, and got laid off, then was turned down for a Job at a fast food joint for not being bilingual.... Rolling Eyes

There's big problems over here obviously, and they need attention... Shocked

I left it to the end hoping that like the British F1 GP when a spectator produced one, and supporters near by threatened to shove it up his a$$ if he blew on it. Laughing

Before I get into trouble again for my postings on here, I should point out that this is a JOKE not a political statement, maybe it was lost on North America, as it is a European piece of wit? Razz

If you didn’t watch the greatest football competition in the world then hit the return button. Rolling Eyes
