| I asked Crosman how much it would be for the barrel, breech block, and all the parts that go on the breech block since I recently bear trapped my Genesis. They said they could not assemble the parts before they sent them to me but I'm not sure I'd have the tools necessary to put it all together. Anyone know how I'd have to go about this? I don't wanna have to buy another Genesis but unless I can find someone to put it all together it looks like I'll have to |

Crosman doesn't like to commit to things- part of the problem being that most of their customer service people really aren't very technical and not familiar with the products enough to be terribly helpful in respect to parts/application of such.
I have yet to see any springer barrel from Crosman be shipped without it and the breech block already being attached (and I have seen quite a few). What happens for major assemblies like this quite often is that they disassemble a rifle to get the parts and they are not about to pull the block and barrel apart- too much potential for damage and alot of time consumed.
If, however, you do somehow get a separate block and barrel- it is a "press fit" idea- as in you hammer the barrel into the block. The crosspin is for the cocking lever primarily, although it does act as a (typically) unnecessary restraint for the barrel coming out of the block.
Order the required parts and see what you get. It wouldn't surprise me, however, if you got a barrel with breech block attached, and a second breech block on its own. |

Impossable unless the cocking lever is offset to one side...
the pin has the cocking lever eye around it...for the pin to intersect with the barrel to act as a retainer the eye of the lever would be in the bore....
but the pivit bolt/pin sleeve holds the latch pin in & may hold the barrel aswell..I never looked when I had the latch pin out of my Genesis..

| Thanks for letting me in on that, looks like this order's cost may be cut in half. This card in my wallet is getting awfully hot right now.. |
