Hello All,
I just purchased an Air Arms Tx 200 HC
& an air force 4-16x50ao scope.
It should be in this weekend.
Questions:
Does the .177 & .22 & if they have a .25 all
have the same spring or power plant?
Also If any of you have one what pellets does yours like.
I have a couple picked out so far from another friend.but will purchase as needed to get this thing dialed in ASAP.
Does this riffle need any special attention when it comes in.
Clean the barrel with goo-gone secure screws, Anything else.
This is my 4th Riffle since Dec. I hope I am happy with it.

Hi Matthew and welcome to AirGunHome
I have the TX200HC in .177 and the same spring is used on the .22 as well the only diffrence is the top hat which is smaller on the .22.
I use AA field 4.52 pellets and I find these suit the gun best although it will shoot most decent pellets well, as a cheaper alterative for plinking I use RSW superdomes.
As for cleaning the barrel from new just a clean patch will do there is no goo in the barrel, and you may need to check the front stock screws they need to be tight but not overlay tight.
It will take around 500 to 1000 pellets to lead in the barrel by then it will be shooting hole on hole at 30m, from new the power will be down but by the time the barrel as been leaded in the output should be correct.
I not sure where you are in the world but I have just quoted for the UKs 12flb limit for non FAC airguns.
I sure you will enjoy your TX one of the finest springers you can buy.

The Tophat is how much smaller or may may be the weight difference?
Wonder why there is the difference ?

I think the top hat for .22 is shorter as you do not need the same volume of air for a .22 as a .177.
