Hello, new to the forum.
I received a nice vintage Beeman break barrel pistol in .177 caliber.
It says on the barrel: "Original" mod 5 made in Germany for Beemans precision airguns.
It has a thumb-groove for a right handed shooter and has a brown plastic body. I also have the original foam box with clear lid.

Would like to know it's age. I think it's from the 50's or 60's. If someone could please tell me some info on this pistol, I would greatly appreciate it. I have tried to find out anything and have not been able to.

Thanks!!!

Beeman imported guns from two German manufacturers- Weihrauch and Diana. You have a Diana Model 5. It was made from the late 50s to the late 70s. Based on the plastic brown grips- yours is from the late 70s (gray plastic grips in the early 70s, wood grips prior to that).

What would finish this would be a "thumb goes here" sticker. Mr. Green

Rare? Not really. Perhaps units with the Beeman name on them are "rarer". You can see what the market will give you- but I believe somewhere around $100.00 for one in very good condition is fairly typical.
