Hello guys!
First, i want to say thank you for all good job that you do on this.
Ok, can you tell me what to chose? Hatsan 125 or Gamo Shadow? Both of them in .22 cal. In my country we have a restriction speed of the pellets, about 220 m/s (720 fps). Tomorrow i think i'll receive the license for buying the gun so i have to choose fast.
Can you make a short review of Hatsan 125 and Gamo Shadow? Please! I want this gun for hunting and for backyard games (target practicing).

Welcome to AGH Cipri. The Hatsan Mod 125 in .22 has a 305 mps or 1000 fps way above your restriction even the .25 has a rating of 230 mps or 750 fps. The only Gamo Shadow I know of only comes in .177 and has a 305 mps or 1000 fps. We have people from all over on this forum so if you told us where you are someone may could be of more help. It seems that Gamo International says they now have a .25 Shadow 1000 with 623 fps or 190 mps.

Thank you donec for your fast answer. My bad, i forgot to mentioned my location. I am from Romania. I know that both of them are much faster (the pellet i want to say  ) then the law of my country but those guns are modified for each country, are imported with 220m/s. For example, here the limit is on the pellet speed but in other countries the limit is for power.

Hi...
the Hatsan M125 .22 dose 900fps in the real world..
Gamo Shadow .22 rated at 722fps dose around 630fps
real world speed...

Hatsan rifles are typically very solid, heavy- but solid. Gamo's tend to be more accurate and need less "finishing" than the Hatsan.
Really, it's your choice. One thing to consider might be the ease of obtaining parts for either, which will be different depending on your local market. |

Hm, I'd go for a 11 Fpe springer that's build to shoot at that speed.
Or you can get a 9 mm PCP that shoots 9mm pellets at 200-220 Fps.  |

Thank you so much guys, i appreciate your answers. Bad luck, the license will come next week, not cool...
I think i'll go for a Hatsan 125. I wish i can buy both of them but in my country we have a limit of airguns to keep, that limit is only ... 2 guns, i know, stupid law.

EDIT: you should be able to get a Euro-legal Diana. Not sure where, may need to have it imported from Germany (most are kept there, if I remember correctly). |
