My Gamo was an impulse buy one night at Walmart. Never heard of Gamo and I should have left the 99 bucks in my wallet until I checked out the gun on some of these boards.
Anyway I bought the thing and my only complaint is the same as every other Shadow owner. LOUSEY trigger.
The thing is plenty accurate with several pells. In fact just this evening I was doing some 20 yard bench shooting with it and scored half inch 5 shot groups with Barracuda heavys, 10.5 Crossman Premiers, and Beeman Silver Arrow pells.
Beman yellow coated h.p. also did well at 3/4 inch. My scope is a fixed 4 X with A.O. by BSA so this isn't a target rig but accuracy is good enough.
Trouble is it's almost impossible to make good offhand hunting shots with that trigger.
You guys already pointed me towards an after market trigger than should be worth the investment.
However I have another Shadow question.
The thing came with a rear mounted screw for a sling swivel.
But where does the front one go?????????
A good sling would help with offhand shooting but where does one mount the front swivel screw?
Oh, I ordered the Remington gas piston rifle yesterday from P.A. and lots of different pellets, shying way from the super heavy and super light versions. All the pells will be middle of the road 13.5 to 18 grainers.
Thoughts?

I think they like the sucky trigger over at Gamo. I have a whisper and after 15 - 20 shots the trigger becomes just like me before my first cup of coffee, a real B|^<h. When i'm hunting my hubby around the house I use a rubber sewing thimble on my trigger finger. I can shoot at him all day. wee sheeee.

Had one gamo. After 50 shots it went back in the box. Way to start adult air rifles, eh?

Got the Diana 34 and never looked back.

I hear they are now pretty good, except the trigger.
