I just realized that if incandescent bulbs are banned after 2014, what will I use indoors with my chronograph? (Flourescents don't work well.)

Maybe I can hang the grille from my Yugo over the chronograph and use the headlights.

Same here, and what difference will it make? Probably only a couple of percents, and they put a new factory up in China the size of Utrecht with a zillion of them old bulbs and hey: It didn't work! Rolling Eyes

We can now buy mains replacement Halogen lamps in the same fitting and shape as standard bulbs, better light for less electricity use.

I'll have to look into the halogen bulbs. They're ubiquitous now on cars, and flashlights (torches in Alstone land) even have them.

A bill was introduced in the Minnesota state legislature to ignore the ban on incandescent bulbs. The reasoning is that the only basis for the federal government to regulate products is a provision in the constitution for regulating interstate commerce. If an incandescent bulb is produced in Minnesota and used in Minnesota by Minnesotans then the feds can keep their grubby mitts out of our business. We'll see. Maybe Minnesota will be on a different side in the second war of secession.

Government can't "put the ban" on something like cigarettes- but can ban incandescent lightbulbs. Seriously, does anyone really wonder what's wrong with things these days?

If Minnesota starts making incandescent bulbs- they might have a market- people driving in from all over to buy them...

They're all nutcases and boobs. Seriously, how many jobs are there for people whose biggest "talent" is being able to constantly lie with a straight face?

Big companies are fine, it's the corrupt companies, that are big enough to get their way off on everyone else. The big government (that the corrupt companies control), won't let the little guys take back what is rightfully theirs.

Viva la revolution.

That's why we have the second amendment... and those corrupt people are trying to take it away.
