(Flourescents don't work well.) They're ubiquitous now on cars, and flashlights (torches in Alstone land) even have them. A bill was introduced in the Minnesota state legislature to ignore the ban on incandescent bulbs. The reasoning is that the only basis for the federal government to regulate products is a provision in the constitution for regulating interstate commerce. If an incandescent bulb is produced in Minnesota and used in Minnesota by Minnesotans then the feds can keep their grubby mitts out of our business. We'll see.
