THere has been a squirrel teasing my dog and my neighbor's dog all day running up and down the top of my 6 ft tall wooden fence. I figured I'd just try to scare him with a close shot and that would be that.

I domed the little rat! I couldn't believe it! I am still sitting here giggling that I pulled that shot off! I can't get the body back though because it fell on my neighbor's side of the fence and I don't want to get bit. I wanted a picture of that little turd to add to my collection. It was the first kill with my 2300.

He was sitting up on his back legs just watching the dogs bark. I'm kind of glad he did fall the direction he did. I don't want my dogs exposed to anything that might have rabies, and as screwy as he was it's possible I guess. The neighbor's dog shredded him as soon as he hit the ground.

Joe you are harsh! lol Oh well, it counts to me. When are you gonna get your first kill with your pistol? I usually don't post kills because you never know who's reading this, but can't you let me slide this one time?

Nice shooting Todd....looks like the 2300 makes for a decent squirrel gun... Cool Only thing for me so far with mine was a rat...nice solid body shot.I never found him though as I flipped it back into deep ivy. Rolling Eyes
I'm still waiting to put it to use again, with the carbine stock on it.So far so good with groups on paper.... Mr. Green

Mark, the scope is great for accuracy, but it's a pain in the a$$ for acquisition. If that squirrel wasn't just standing there I never would have hit it.

Yep...I love the scope on mine as well.Tremendous improvement over the red dot....but that's me,not the red dots fault..... Rolling Eyes They work pretty good indoors for me,but I tried mine outdoors, and had issues seeing the dot...even on setting 11.My buddy could see it fine,so my eyes must not be all that great...
The red dot will come in handy for low light shooting though...sure wish my scope had an illuminated retical..... Rolling Eyes
