Red Dot all the way.... I'm too shaky for a scope and my eyes aren't good enough for open sights any more....
My favourite Red Dot is the MRS (multi-reticle sight) sold by several companies including Walther and NcStar.... It has 4 different reticles and adjustable brightness.... but the BEST part is the wide field of view and the unobstructed area around the target.... Some red dots are worse than looking through a scope in their field of view.... Also, some red dots have a lot a parallax issues as well, but that one doesn't....

Same here. I have a BSA, which does have parallax problems. I got around it by sanding the paint from the very rear of the ocular bezel, creating a bright "ghost ring" reference circle that helps me position the dot (or rather, my head). |

Scope, or Dioptre.
Any scope that's a bit bright works for me. I don't use them to much for magnification, allthough I might in the future.
Dioptres are good stuff if you want to accurately shoot paper, but I've also used them a couple of times for plinking and I had satisfactional results doing so. 25 yards hitting a can is not a real problem. |

| http://www.pyramydair.com/a/Accessories/Dot_sights_flashlights_and_lasers/Dot_sights/25Check out the reviews in that link and then you will have a better idea of your options. According to the image they show there of the Crosman red dot it is quite similar to the Daisy which has too small of a field of view for me making it useless. Now if the one from the custom shop is different then ok but they don't show an image so you can tell. |

You can also call it an advanced peep sight. |

thanks for that link. some of them are much cheaper than the center point ones on the crosman site. are the BSA and leapers a good brand? quality and accuracy wise? |

BSA and Leapers are both good brands. I particularly have good experience with the a BSA scope with a sort of rubberized finish. |

Go with the Leapers Golden image.Your other choice..the 4x32,is a rifle scope being that it has a 100 yard fixed parallax..objects will be somewhat blurry, and distorted in the operative range of your air pistol. |
