Years ago I was the General Manager of a small-ish IT sales and service company (and supposedly the support office for the parent company's biometrics products- but that's another joke). I was the General Manager, there was an Office Manager (girl who answered the phone and did invoicing), a Warehouse Manager (the guy who packed boxes and drove around town picking stuff up), a Service Manager (the technician who fixed some software, some hardware), a Senior Service Team Lead (another technician who also fixed some software, some hardware), a Senior Technical Consultant (another technician who fixed some software and some hardware), a Sales Manager (who occasionally made a phonecall and sold something) and one poor guy who, only arriving in this wonderful company a few weeks before myself, asked me what he should call himself- so I suggested either "oddjob" or "Manager, Corporate Staff Misrepresentation Consulting." Needless to say, my employment as the only real "manager" with these jokers didn't last long. They hired another "General Manager" who could barely manage his own testicles soon after I was gone, and then fired "oddjob" a few months later. Then, went out of business a year after that. Sadly, "oddjob" wasn't from Poland. _________________ ` I'd say "I care." But I'd be lying.
