Welcome to AirGunHome fur8963.

What other airguns have you tried to get the scope sighted in on and what were the problems?

You see the problem with your question is we don't have enough information to help. There are so many considerations to sighting in a scope and keeping it sighted in like is the scope mounted on a springer is the scope rated for springers how is the shooter holding the rifle is the scope mounted correctly as just some examples.

Since you want a hunting rifle then you are almost going to need either a springer or a HPA/PCP. the PCP will not have the scope problems that springers do but they are more expensive. If you hunting is only for small game and you can get pretty close you might consider a CO2 rifle as it also would not have to deal with the special kick back considerations of a springer. Maybe a multi pump like a Benjamin.

$100 won't get you very far...

You could do a decent CO2 setup for $200. CO2 has many limitations, however. Ambient temperature being the major factor.

PCP would cost you around $700 for the whole setup; gun, pump/tank, scope, accessories.

Meet a bit above CO2 and you can get a fair springer setup for around $250.

fur,

Don't fall for the fps trap. ALL ag companies hype their numbers using the lightest (usually very inaccurate) pellets to claim high fps speeds. As discussed many times here, when it comes to killing power it's a matter of fpe's at the target within a certain range.

IMHO, I would price around for a Benjamin Discovery for that price range. My local Dick's is selling the .177 version for less then $250 including pump. As you're budget warrents, and if your good at finding deals, you can eventually upgrade to a scuba refill station.

Don,

Just a clarification. The benjamin discovery is NOT a pumper. It's a dual fuel rifle. That can use either Co2 or compressed air. The compressed air is pumped into the rifle via a hand pump or by using a scuba tank and yoke arrangement. This should not be confused with "pumper" style ags.

You have to remove the covers on the windage/elevation screws to adjust a scope.
You need a license to hunt.
Take a proper gun/hunting safety course .

I did not say a Benjamin Discovery. I said a Benjamin and did not name the possible numbers but a Benjamin 392 and 397 are both multi-pump pneumatics and not Dual Fuel PCP & CO2 rifles. Just for clarification.

They don't have those on all scopes.

Not every where depending on what you hunt.

All the U.S. states and all the Canadian provinces have them. If a person is too far away from a class site to attend, in many cases they may be taken online. Check your state or provincial department of conservation/natural resources for information. For purposes of hunting license reciprocity, all the states and provinces use the same core curriculum:

hold up every no need to fight......i know how to hunt i have taken several big bucks with a bow, plenty of animals with a gun, i took my safety course back on the day i turned 12 the legal age here in pa, i have sighted in plenty of high power rifles, rimfire rifles, slug guns, bows , crossbows. i know how to sight them in. my main ? for everyone was im looking for a new pellet gun i have owned several break action ones but they dont sight in so im looking at getting either a pre charged on or a c02 this is reasibale priced and is easy to sight in and does not get knocked off by just reloading. i have looked at serval c02 but the fps is alot alot slower than a break action does that matter with killing power? what should i look for?

You want the fastest .22 cal for blasting rabbits.
You want a rifle with a good adjustable trigger.
Weirauch is one of the best.
Do you want open sights or a scope or a Red-dot?
