I just got a used GS950 Beeman dropped on my lap for free, woo hoo!!
No scratches or any marks on it anywhere. I work for the Army Corps of Engineers & the guys that go out in the field were going to use it for pest controll when they survey out in the woods. Apparently it cant properly be turned in, so I made it dissapear, I just didnt want my boss to have to worry about it...you know, so I took care of the situation, no worried boss.
Anyway, how do I know if its a .22 or .117? Also I have no idea about this gun, I just got a Storm & havent even had time to go outside yet, so I dont know what I got here.
Thanks for any info... |

Nice & tight. Having really looked it over now, I would say that it may have never even been fired. The wood is perfect, feels like there may have been an oil treatment, the grain is sweet.
I tried to do some searching on it, looks like it has been discontinued.
Still trying to figure out what cal it is. |

It will probably say somewhere on the gun. Start looking at the breech block, and then go to the barrel and compression tube. It may not say .22 or .177 - 5.5mm is .22," and 4.5mm is .177." Or just use a pellet: A .177 pellet will have tons of wiggle room in a .22 barrel, and a .22 pellet will be obviously too big for a .177 barrel.
I am so very sorry that you were forced to take this action to protect your boss's mental health. That's one case of Federal "waste" that I'm happy about.

| Are you being serious, that you can't tell just by looking at the bore, or is this a joke? |

Serious as a heart attack. One is bigger yea...but which one? Actually, this is my first rifle, so looking down the barrel to verify the cal isnt something that has been on my list of things to do, I've been busy with other stuff.
its .177 & shots nice. |

I'm not sure a person could see a difference of .043 inches/1mm (1/2 mm on each side) without seeing both barrels side by side and even then I feel sure I would not see the difference by just looking. |

| Now I will admit I would have a hard time telling the difference between .177 & .20, or perhaps .22 & .25, but I could easily tell you which is which between .177 and .22, .043" is huge by machine shop standards, look at a tape measure, 1/16" is .062 roughly and that's pretty easy to see with the naked eye. |
