Hello.

First post here seeking for advise. I'd like to buy a Crosman 2100 for pest control, but I need to transport it in a suitcase. The problem is that, of course, an entire rifle will not fit. Now, if I remove the stock I know it will fit. By looking at http://www.crosman.com/pdf/manuals/crosman/2100/C2100-EVP.pdf it seems that by removing a single screw from the receiver the stock should come off. Can anybody please confirm that? If the procedure is much more complicated than, then I will not buy it.

Unfortunately, no- the stock is also sandwiched between the two receiver halves- so you would need to disassemble/reassemble the gun to remove and replace the stock.

If you get stuck and can't find a better solution, you can still get the 2289, but it comes out of Canada and you can only pay with a USPS International Money Order: http://scopesandammo.com/storefront/product_info.php?cPath=25_40&products_id=43

The 2289 stock comes off by pushing a button, leaving two pieces (stock and gun)- the longest (the gun) being about 20".
