First post here. I'm new to serious air gunning. I have always had bb guns since I was 8 years old. I'm 46 now. I just purchased my first serious air rifle. A Feinwerkbau 124 sport. The gentleman I got it from purchased it new in 1979. It has had only around 300 shots fired through it. I consider this gun to be in mint condition. This gun had not been shot in 25 years. He said it should probably be gone over by a competent air rifle smith. I contacted some online services and was told to try firing the gun to see what happens. Well it seemed to shoot fine. I only shot it a couple times. It needs to be scoped.
When I bought the gun it came with all the oils and scope mounts and a half box of Beeman silver jet pellets. I know this type of gun takes a special type of lubricating oil. The oils I got with it looks like have gelled up over time. I'm not sure I want to use old oil. The owners manual was not with it. He had lost it over the years. I am looking for a manual for this gun. I am sure it needs to be lubricated since it has not been in 25 years. Can anybody steer me toward some info on this gun, or know where I can purchase a manual. I would also like to know of anybody who does repair work, such as seals and springs. I live in Indiana, the closer the better for this. I have rebuilt a few Crosman guns and pistols, but feel this German made spring gun is way out of my know how.
What little time I have spent here I have enjoyed it and have learned a lot already about some of my other guns.
