On my Ruger they wont stay tight. After 50 shots they are loose. I have tried multiplr times to secure them with the thread lock and that doesnt work. I can see them protrued through the inside if i flip the gun over. Perhaps some nuts on the other side will hold them?

Try some loc-tite bearing fit or shaft fit, it has a better grip than thread lock but you will still be able to remove the screws on a short thread like that.

For Loctite thread locker (or bearing locker) to work properly, both surfaces to which it is applied must be absolutely oil and grease free. Simply wiping the fastener with a rag is often/usually not adequate for the thread locker to work as designed.

I have not ever had a problem if I thoroughly degreased both surfaces. On occasion I've used triclorothylene, but a scrubbing-flushing with mere rubbing alcohol seems to work equally well.

A word of caution: Unless you are absolute sure what the results will be, keep solvents away from plastics and wood finishes.

Hope the info helps,

Amigo
