I just recently got my first "real" airgun and have become absolutely addicted. I live in SW Virginia. I mean way off. Lots of people swear by JSB. It really depends on your individual gun. For good precision I always test a couple of pellets, like JSB Exact, H&N FTT, etc. I like the 4,52 mm pellets (which is 0.1779 in opposition to 0.1771) in most of my .177 airguns. Better fit and often much better accuracy. Exacts and FTT's are also weighed and checked for size.
