A few weeks ago I had a Chrony for a few days, the 2289G with standard hammerspring performed 571 fps / 10,05 fpe @ 14 pumps using .22 13,88 grain Gamo Pro Match pellets.
At 15 pumps it didn't dump all the air from the valve.
I just fitted a stronger hammerspring, a black one, coils are a bit thicker.
The triggerpull isn't as light as before.
Now it dumps all the air from the valve upto/including 17 pumps.
Any idea what that means regarding the increase of fps/fpe? |

3 more pumps should give you about 30 fps at those levels.... ie 600 fps (just an estimate)....

Got a Chrony and it proved it's true what you wrote
604 fps @ 17 pumps
610 fps @ 19 pumps
633 fps @ 21 pumps |
