We sold our house and were boxing things up for the new house where we been living and I found this thing. My mother-in-law gave it to me after father-in-law passed. I guess I put it away and forgot about it.

Nice find. Looks like a second variant.
But on another note...dude you sold that awesome house over looking your own shooting range and hunting grounds. |

It made my day. I remembered it but thought one of my BILs ended up with it. I put a little Pelgunoil on it and cleaned it up, cleaed the bore, etc., and it shoot well. Nice compression. It cool. I like this gun.

No, we have been living here in the house by the woods, while our old house sold. This house (by the woods) was my wife's parents' house, and we are buying it from the estate. The old house was for sale for a while as we were looking to move into a little bigger place anyway, and them my mother-in-law passed away, and we decided to buy out the wife's brothers and move in here instead of looking for a diferent house. So the other house was waiting to sell until a couple weeks ago. |

| Well that's good news. I'm glad your not trying to move at the same time as going back to school and trying to keep up with the kids |

Oh yes. Those little smart alecs.
BTW, what's a second variant? The booklet that came with it looks like it was printed in the '70s, but I didn't think this was that old of pistol for some reason.
(My internet has been spotty, so if I disappear for a few days....) |

First variant: Steel breech, cocks by pulling the knob back, loads by sliding the breech sleeve back. (1977-1981)
Second variant: Same as the first, but with a plastic breech. (1981-1998)
Third variant: Cocks and loads with a bolt handle sticking out the side. (1998-Present)

Thank for the info.
The breech is plastic on this one, and the knob cocks it. Must be second model then. |
