I got one only with it's original name, and I can tell you that more won't do it any good. Which caliber do you have? I got a .22 at 20.5 bar and it shoots at about 230 Mps ( 754 Fps) with RWS Superdomes which makes for about 20 Fpe.

The owner before the previous owner had put it on 23 bar first, but he only got 200 Mps (656 Fps) out of it at that setting. When he lowered the pressure the power and speed went up so upping the pressure doesn't guarantee more power transferred into the pellet. A longer barrel might help with harnessing that power but the balance on these is so good you don't wanna put more weight on the front, in my opinion, and I don't think there are any longer barrels to be delivered by Weihrauch so that would have to be an aftermarket job...

That previous previous owner also experimented with the rifle a lot too and also did a very good job at tuning it, like making a proper inertia-weight which is located somwhere in the ram I think, but I don't fully understand the technology of the gas ram yet.

They're quite handsome airguns I'd like to add. Mr. Green

i have the .20 with the barrel that it came with; 19.5" if you measure from the nose of the pellet when it's in battery.

it is the early RX-1. (has the "1" stamped on the rear of the reciever.) i bought it new in approximately 1990...and yes they're very attractive rifles...i'm thinking of refinishing the stock soon; the years have taken their toll on it. wonderfully simple and easy to work on, too.

it's difficult to cock at the 20 BAR i have it set at now; more pressure would increase that difficulty, i'm sure. (it was so ez to cock when it was down at 10 BAR... Shocked Surprised Very Happy )

right now (at 20 BAR) it's shooting 14.3 grain benjamin cylinders very accurately and beeman silver arrows/jets pretty well. i guess i'll have to get some superdomes and try them in the near future, too.

i'll have to break out the chrono and see what it says. i never thought of doing that... Embarassed

But Don, a chrono is your friend! Mr. Green

Nice, the .20. I have been thinking about trying a .20 or .25 stock and playing around with the pressures, but I don't have the appropriate couplings to pump around with this thing. I do have a pump though...

If it's already hard to cock, and if it shoots well, I wouldn't change to much about it. I must say I'm quite interested in your chrono results. It would be nice to compare a bit.

Mine has been more or less refurbished in a way that it shoots way better then it looks, but it's my trash rifle so I don't care how it looks. Mr. Green Right now it's got a finish comparable to a chinese B2. Razz

Okay, so I shot my HW90 on saturday and I from a free stance I got a raffled hole. This really is one of the best rifles around. Shocked
