Hi all...

two questions - on pyramydair's blog, there an artical/video about the armory grip, which translates to very light grip on forearm and minimal pressure on shoulder for spring piston and gas/spring piston guns. what I've read here is that the double motion of the piston, and the slow speed of the pellet in the bore requires a light touch for maximum accuracy (where a burner requires much more pressure and a solid grip). Questions #1 - does this apply to a Co2 gun?

Question #2 - what's dieseling? (follow up quesiton, just in case it's not clear from the answer - does it occur in co2 guns?

Question #3 - where, if at all, does your co2 vent, other than out the muzzle (which, come to think of it, should be the only place where the propellent comes out)? My lever gun vents gas out the bottom of the gun just in front of the trigger guard, which is where some of the moving pieces are for the lever action. does this sound normal?

Thanks, thanks, and thanks, again!

Hi...

Q1....A Co2 gun has no recoil as the only moveing part is the
pellet..witch is to light to cause any recoil..."worth talking about"

Q2.....Dieseling is caused by some sort of flamable
substance in the compression chamber of a spring piston gun
A co2 or PCP gun dosen't compress the air to genarate power
"its pre compressed" and exspands very quickly when released
Eg...A pcp chargered to 3000psi ..any air releasted exspands 206
times to reach att pressure..

Q3...Co2/air should only vent though the barrel unless theres a leak...
seals need looking at...
