Hey everyone, if you read my previous posts I wanted to hunt. Its was just about my main purpose along with maybe a little target fun. I had noticed the target fortnight before. I never really read into it, figured it was just for where certain guys on here lived. Now that I really took the time to read it sounds fun. I think I would have a better time target shooting, along with the learning of it. I'm going to stick with the Beeman R7 .177 700FPS. I really don't need legal troubles. I'll have to wait until about Feb to purchase my Rifle. What would be a nice scope for the target shooting here at 10m? Thanks sorry for being a pest lately aswell. These laws here just had me in a bit of a rage.

IMO you don't want too high a power for shooting standing.... not more than 4X.... maybe less....
A nice 3-9 x 40 AO would be a good choice for a 700 fps gun.... Springer rated, of course so it doesn't shake apart....

Anyone is welcome to the fortnightly target shoot, if your not sure what to do then it's 5m for pistols and 10 for rifles, just shoot the correct number of pellets at each target, and if your not to sure what your score is then just post it and we'll score it for you.

| I was just looking into a few more Rifles that would be legal here in IL. I came up with Crosman 1760SE. I read a review on this and it sounds pretty decent. One owner said he mounted a 3x9x40 Center Point scope. Would that scope be a good choice for the Fortnightly target shooting here? The cost difference is a lot better also. There asking for about $450.00 for the Beeman and only $175.00 for the Crosman. |

| well some of crosman guns are pretty good disco superstreak mrod nps they got some good pistols there g1 quest n phantom have read nothing but mixed reviews on them. mainly that it takes alot to get them shooting good, have u looked Crosman 2260 its the same gun in .22 cal for a whole lot cheaper. also have u looked at brutz videos on the qb78 ? its basically the same gun if i can find a link to his videos, he did an amazing job reviewing and modding them. and if u did consider the qb78 go with archer airguns n get gold service so u don't get a lemon since the gun is made in china where quality isn't always the best; but the majority of their guns are good. |

Personally, for 10 meter shooting I prefer either open sights or a peepsight.
Got a rifle with a Diopter now, so maybe I'll be tagging along some time too. But I'm a crappy shooter, so it won't be that soon.  |
