Hi all!

several of the Ag retailers sell sample packs - 6 tins of various manufactures, or 15 different types of pellets in a 'screw sorter' container.

My question - How do you actually shoot through all of the different types of pellets?

I'm using a walther/winchester 1895 lever gun that uses the 8-shot rotary magazine. I typically shoot 7 magazines at a session since that's between the 50 and 60 shots that the two co2 cartridges in the gun will shoot without sticking a pellet in the barrel, or having the speed drop off dramatically. Should I load a different pellet in each magazine? should only compare two or three at a time? or should I shoot my way through an entire tin (or pellet type) and keep track of my best targets, THEN compare and determine which is best for my gun?

I spend too much time thinking about this sh*t.....

Thanks
Rob

Just shoot 3-5 of each type at seperate targets and see which shoots best.

I use RWS Hobbys in mine for target shooting and Superdomes for anything else.

Al

Just like you would with a powder arm. Shoot for groups of 3- or 5-shots and see which pellet your particular airgun will prefer.
